On Friday evening I heard something on roof and went outside to find all the chickens up there. Ella looked pretty proud of herself, I'm sure she was the instigator. They all few down about a half hour later. Poor Faye, never did figure out how to get up there.
We live in the woods of Southern Wisconsin along with our dog Jake, our cat Lily and half a dozen chickens. We’ve noticed since moving out here from Madison, WI that things just move slower than they do in the city. By “things” I mean the seasons, how long the moon is full, how long it takes for the house to warm up once the stove goes out and if you need a gallon of paint from Farm and Fleet, plan on an hour or more. Pizza Hut won’t deliver out this far, the UPS man won’t drive up our driveway in the winter and if you need to borrow an egg you have to jump on the 4-wheeler to head over the neighbors house.
From a distance, everything seems to stay the same out here, but if you get quiet and look close, things are changing all the time. Please feel free to let us know your thoughts, comments and feedback.

Oh there are chickens on the roof. There are chickens on the roof. Won't you view my visual proof.
